Morris Micklewhite and the Tangerine Dress is a children’s book written by Christine Baldacchino and illustrated by Malenfant. Morris Micklewhite and the Tangerine Dress is a book about a boy (Morris) That acts like a girl. One day he wore Tangerine dress to school he got bullied for it. The next day his mom painted his nails before school. When he arrived at school his classmates told him that boys don’t were dresses and paint their nails. Some of the boys said that he could not play space ship with them because he was wearing a dress. The next day Morris faked sick. When he came back to school he made his own spaceship, his spaceship was cooler than the other kids so they wanted to go in his. They went on a cool adventure the boys liked Morris now and they decided that it does not matter what people wear its how they act. The message of this book is to don’t judge a book by its cover because the boys did not know that Morris was so cool. The theme is to be nice to everyone.
